With construction on the building advancing steadily, additional teams have begun exploring the details of operations within it. Last month teams from Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve launched a series of work groups to tackle tasks from IT and supply chain to dining services and security.

Many of these staff collaborated closely during the initial planning for the building itself, so this first session was a bit of a reunion—albeit with a layer of urgency. Each institution has its own policies and practices; now they’re comparing notes as they seek the best ways to make the Health Education Campus meet the needs of those who teach, learn and study there.

As part of the kickoff, leaders presented the video produced for the 2014 announcement of the project’s transition from a site solely for medical students to a place that exemplifies interprofessional education. For those who’d like to view again (or anew):
