Healthcare Technology Primed for a Breakthrough (With Some Institutional Support)

linkedin.com: Technology and innovation have touched every facet of medicine, from diagnosis (blood tests and imaging, for example), to prevention (vaccines), to monitoring (online tele-health programs), to treatment (medications, radiation, and surgical techniques).

In her LinkedIn column last week, Maria Bartiromo pointed out that healthcare technology is “on the cusp of (a) breakthrough … We have seen great innovation already but it’s only the beginning.” She’s absolutely right.

The practice of medicine has never been more technologically dependent than it is now. And it will only become more so.
